Finally, a new pic! I've been meaning to draw this for months, but couldn't find the time.

This is a follow-up to my previous Sonic Origins pic, depicting Bunnie's rehabilitation after her life-changing operation. She's lucky to have friends like Antoine to teach her to walk again. Since a few people have complained about the tone of the previous pic, I wanted to make something more wholesome this time. I had a lot of fun painting this, and I hope Archie has got something interesting planned for Nicole's Origins story so I can draw more fan art.

Some fan art of the latest Sonic Universe arc "Spark of Life"! For those who haven't been following the latest issues, we delve into Nicole's backstory and her first encounter with a young Princess Sally. It's turning out to be one of the most interesting Sonic Universe stories to date, and I've written tworeviews about the progress so far. Now Sally has entered the digital world to try and rescue Nicole from the malevolent virus Phage. Will she be able to help her friend in time before the Dark Gaia monsters take over? I guess we'll have to wait and see in the next issue....

So, UDON announced the winners for their Capcom Fighting Tribute contest aaaaaaand it turns out I didn't make the cut. Poo.

To be honest, I'm not really disappointed by it. I wasn't as invested in the contest as I expected and didn't have as many good ideas as for the Mega Man Tribute. Most of what I wanted to draw involved Marvel VS. Capcom or some weird bedroom practices....

But anyway! Here's what I sent to UDON. A group pic of assorted Capcom girls crowded around Ibuki showing off a new trick she taught her pet tanuki, Don. That little furball is dynamite on a Casio.

One of the biggest character arcs for Tails earlier in the comic series was the build-up for what his uncle Merlin predicted was his great destiny. After brief glimpses at Tails' hidden power, it finally culminated in the milestone issue #150 when all the Tails across the multiverse merged together to form... this... thing...... Titan Tails!

It's easily one of the strangest creations I've seen from Archie, and Titan Tails hasn't reappeared since. Was your reaction to this monster closer to Tails' adoration or Sonic's "DO NOT WANT!" moment?

More Zelda fan art at last! This is a long-overdue companion piece to a Majora's Mask illustration I made three years ago. Intended as a foil to the previous pic below, this shows what happens to Romani if you don't rescue her from Them. It's something that's always puzzled me ever since I played that side-quest, and I kept wondering what could have happened to this spunky girl to make her so dissociative upon her return. This also gave me a chance to express my appreciation for the biomechanical art style of H.R. Giger, whose work I strongly admired as a teenager. This was a challenge to paint because the colour palette is markedly different from my other illustrations, but I think I did enough justice to the concept to effectively illustrate Romani's fate. So the next time you decide to abandon her while you go off questing in Termina, look at this picture..... AND FEEL THE GUILT OVERWHELM YOUUUU!!

Here's a little something I drew a couple of years ago for who is a good friend on DA, featuring all of his characters. After my old Graphire3 tablet died in June 2013 and I bemoaned the fact that I couldn't afford a decent replacement, TheNameUGiveMe stepped in and said "I'll help you, bucko!" Over the next couple of months, he donated hundreds of dollars so that I could afford nothing short of spangly new Wacom 13HD! You can see it in the centre. I've never experienced such kindness from a stranger, and I swore a mighty oath that I would pay back his support in the form of commissions, some of which you can see here, here and here. This sketch isn't part of that repayment, but merely an expression of my gratitude for helping me get some decent equipment. Thank you for your support, mate!

This is a collab I worked on with to bring his idea of a Sonic/Metal Slug crossover to life. I love the concept and imagery, since it's a fitting way to portray the Freedom Fighters as an isolated mechanized unit preparing for battle. I was excited about this picture when I first saw his sketch and it was a pleasure getting the chance to colour it. Dex's sharp outlines made painting much easier for the level of detail on the tank. It's quickly become one of my favourite commissions.
